Starter Memory: General duties/life around the church (trivial positive)
Mostly I linked because I thought this page is cute. '^'
What it says on the tin! The space of time after Hakuren has passed his qualification exam, but before he is slated to leave and travel with his master around the Empire (specifically to improve his skills at their world's equivalent of exorcism). The above page is a pretty good summary of what life was like--relatively quiet and peaceful, where he attended mass and helped with the orphans fostered by the church and gave them lessons and helped with general housekeeping.
The memory starts him off on a fairly even/patient footing, and helps give him a sense of purpose even if he's been uprooted from his remembered surroundings. THAT IS MY HOPE, ANYWAY.
Also after some thought--given that his memory includes going to mass daily, he probably has a good basic knowledge of the religious beliefs/practices of his world. Intermediate/advanced stuff will be separate memories.
Starter Skill: sewing--making good luck charms
In the 07-Ghost world, the church has a little giftshop where they sell general religious paraphernalia, including small stuffed good-luck charms, which are made by the apprentice-hopefuls. Hakuren is able to make these, given the proper materials, and will be able to extrapolate from this to be able to do mending/hemming/etc of clothing.
