Significant Neutral: Meeting Teito Klein
Snow's social game, snowman whose head needs to be kissed. Shareable 6/7 times.

From here to here! Ignore the bit about the dude with the wars getting his soul et. :U

So from Hakuren's point of view, he gets randomly stopped by this tiny scrap of a boy who then just stares at his face and mumbles, not really speaking up. Since Hakuren knows he's ~pretty~ he suspects that maybe the boy is ~blinded~ by his good looks, oh no, beauty is such a sin! '-' He recognizes that this boy has the same pass as he does, signifying that he's a bishop-in-training and gearing up for the exams and disparages this, because really--this kid is tiny and scrawny. Is he in middle school, jeeze. :|a ONLY THEN THIS STRANGER ACCUSES HIM OF BEING PART OF THE "COWARDLY OAKS" AND UGHHH HOW DARE HE!! STUPID LITTLE LOST GRADE-SCHOOLER I WOULD BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU IF WE WEREN'T IN A CHURCH :EEEEEE

Then, however, the boy asks him why he, an Oak--from a family that is strictly obsessed with being in the military or going into politics--is here studying to become a bishop in the church. This is too personal for him to share, especially with some brat who can't even properly introduce himself and stares stupidly at people's faces, so he tells the kid that he is the only one who has this interest, but he has no obligation to tell him anything, and leaves.

SO THIS IS HAKUREN'S FIRST MEETING WITH TEITO KLEIN! There is none of the affection he develops for Teito later--their initial meeting is all tsun and clash and :E and dislike. At the same time, it was a bit of a shock that he would be questioned so audaciously about his motives as an Oak in the church, which he knows (in this memory, without knowing why) is unusual and unexpected. Recovering this memory, Hakuren will adjust his image of Teito a bit--for a kid who was someone I was so close with later, our first meeting wasn't very auspicious, was it ... :|a Upping knowledge of Teito without upping any dere! Some more pieces of the puzzle that is his family situation! WHICH LEADS INTO ...

Significant Negative: his mother falling sick (possessed by the Kor)
Automaton's loser game, a gear that is worn on the finger and spun. Shareable 6/7 times.

Headcanon of a scene referred to, but not hugely explored!

Some time when he was about eleven years old, Hakuren's mother falls ill. She grows listless and distant and loses a lot of her interest in her daily life and--most noteably--her son. A strange black mark has appeared on her upper chest, right around the collarbone--which is a symbol that most people in the 07G world will be familiar with: the mark of a kor. It indicates that she gave in to temptation and made a wish with a kor; what this wish was, and whether she achieved something she truly wanted out of it, Hakuren is too young to understand. He just knows that his mother has been possessed, and tha the church can help her, so he immediately starts doing the research he can to give the best information to his father ...

GOSH! :'Da in the light of his previous memory, plus suspicions from earlier memories and talking with Shuri, knowing that there was Some Reason he decided to leave his rich and comfortable lifestyle--GOSH! Hakuren now thinks he knows why he doesn't remember his mother after that first warm and fuzzy montage, and it does not look good. :( The consequences of what he does and his decision to leave home are two separate memories, so he won't get the following events back! He just knows his mother gave in, and that he was absolutely desperate to help her. :(

Motherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ;;
