A relationship depends just as much on what you want, though.

I'm happy with my relationship with Shuri as it is, except for the long-distance thing, and I can't have one with Tempest.

If you are happy with it, then -- really and truly happy with it -- it might be for the better to tell him so seriously, and to let him have a little distance.

The one you don't intend to pursue a relationship with.

Tempest already knows I won't have a relationship with him. He's had to correct teammates who thought we were dating before, and he got mad when he thought they were implying I would cheat.

[nodding slowly]

But sometimes, knowing that and still wanting it can be difficult.
