quercusoptimaSignificant Negative: Teito being kidnapped by the Black Hawks
Starts here and goes to here, then picks up again from here to here.
So this picks up right after a couple of pretty significant memories--all Hakuren gets from this is that he was getting water for Teito, who's bedridden, when he sees Teito stumbling through the halls. When he calls Teito's name, though, black shadows shoot up out of the ground and wrap around him. Hakuren drops his tray and sprints for Teito, and ends up getting dragged into the shadowy nest. He probably doesn't hear Frau running down the hallway, because they get sucked into the shadow pit and get spat back out on a landing pad. Teito is catatonic and unresponsive to Hakuren calling his name, and Hakuren looks up to see two soldiers (one man one tiny childlike thing). He immediately demands to know if they're warsfeil and what they want from Teito, and mentally he's shocked that they're soldiers. They recognize him as an Oak and knock him out. MEMORY ENDS!
THE THING IS, he knows exactly who they are now, in Aather, as opposed to being confused and suspicious like he is in canon--because when he first arrived, pretty much the first major conversation he had with Konatsu was a, "by the way, I was a soldier and I was a warsfeil and I was your enemy :'(" --furthermore, Mikage refers to Konatsu as "senpai" and Mikage has the same soldier's uniform, plus the battlefield that Hakuren saw in Konatsu's heart. SO. He knows exactly what faction was that kidnapped Teito, and while he's not very sure why, he can at least guess that Teito has significance. He will put the dots together and suspect that Teito was under the church's protection for some reason and the warsfeil found a way to snatch him.
Which means that a lot of Hakuren's distrust and wariness towards what is essentially black magic (the kanji for "warsfeil" is literally "black magician") is revived, and further strengthens his resolve to be someone who would never be tempted and fall into becoming a wars, so that he would be the tool of warsfeil. I know Konatsu mentioned it in a writeup about the kor, but basically--there are things that are essentially demons that try to tempt people into making wishes. If you make three wishes, the kor takes your soul and you fall into becoming a wars, which the warsfeil can use like normal people would use zaiphon.
Honestly, it only will really affect his realtionship with Konatsu, who is a Black Hawk if not a warsfeil; he will be a lot cooler/more distant, but not as much as he would have been if Konatsu could actually use wars. :|a
